I am Kanella! Not that it matters but I guess you should know who I am. You will know who I am as much as I can blog about but in the end, who you think I am may not be the everything about me or will only be your perception of me.

My plan for this blog is a little bit of home, decor, life, real life, hardships and the adventure of building our home on our 21-acre homestead in the mountains. 

I am starting this blog in a time of my life where I have already seen, heard and experienced allot. Maybe somewhere along the way, I will be able to inspire you, make you laugh, look at something with a different view, add some positivity or just be able to relate to. Most of all I hope along with this experience you grow in your self-perspective.

I’m not perfect but hey, last I checked NONE of us are.

Why Olive Branch Nest? Olive Branch represents peace and Nest is the love and nurturing place that we come back to at the end of the day. It is warm, small and cozy. 

Brian and I both have been married before and each has had our first homes and even our seconds. We are currently in our “between home”. Between being where we have been and where our dreams are taking us. We recently got engaged and already have so many plans for our future. I can’t wait to share the journey!
